Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Málaga
Alcazaba is the Arabic term for a walled fortification in a city. The Alcazaba in Málaga is one of the best preserved in Spain and lies adjacent to the entrance of an old Roman theatre dating back to 1st century. It is also connected to the higher laying castle of Gibralfaro via a walking corridor.
It is located in the city centre of Málaga close to the harbor and the park of Málaga.
Jardín Botánico Histórico - La Concepción
The Jardin Botanico Historico La Concepcion is an landscape garden with over one hundred and fifty years of history. It is located at the northern entrance of Málaga. This garden is one of the few gardens with subtropical plants that exist in Europe.
It has more than fifty thousand plants, of two thousand species of tropical, subtropical, and autochthonous, highlighting the collection with more than one hundred different species of palms, bamboos, aquatic plants and its historical garden. After being privately owned it was opened to the public in 1990.
Caminito Del Rey
Enjoy a breath taking tour along the Caminito Del Rey walk way. After being described as the most dangerous walkway in the world it has been completely repaired and opened for the public. It is located near Ardales, just an hour away from Malaga by car. Make sure to book your tickets in advance to not miss out!
Alhambra Granada
The Alhambra is a palace and fortress complex located in Granada. It is one of the most famous and best-preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world.
It is located in the city of Granada, about a 1h30m drive from Malaga at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Cordoba
Cordoba is a city located inland at about a 1h45m drive from Málaga. It is the 3th largest city in Andalusia and home to many notable examples of Moorish architecture such as the Mezquita-Cathedral and Madinat Al-Zahra. With its 4 Unesco world heritage sites it has the most of any city in the world.
It also has some of the highest summer temperatures in Spain and Europe with an average of 37°C in July-August, so come prepared.
Seville
Seville is the capital and largest city of Andalusia. It is situated on the lower reaches of the River Guadalquivir, in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula. It is home to the Alcázar palace complex, Seville Cathedral and the Archivo General de Indias UNESCO world heritage sites.
It is about a 2h car drive away from Málaga and being a major city it has many good opportunities for shopping and dining.
